She has a double ear infection. Steve, Kade, Luke, and myself all have the stomach bug today! I will post a Christmas review as soon as we are well and sanitized.

Christmas Card Take....1, 323, 456

Trying to pick a picture for your Christmas card is so hard. When you have three little ones you are lucky if they are looking at the camera. Here is our attempt to spread Christmas joy to our family and friends.

Alex attempts to make a run for it!

Luke is having a crazy moment while trying to get the picture.

Alex is making sure her brothers know who is in charge by giving Luke the elbow.

Kade's look of despair is quite humorous. Alex has also lost it.

This was our first pick for a Christmas card. However, with Alex sitting her head is barley in the picture on a photo card.

This was our second choice and also our Christmas card for this year. (With Steve's hand missing of course).

This was taken after all the photos were made and we had decided that hopefully we had enough. Poor Alex was pooped out by all the posing and photo taking.

Merry Christmas!!

Alex's Party

So, I finally got the pictures from Alex's party and they turned out so cute! It was quite the day. Our only daughter turning 1. I must say that this year has flown by and it seems like she should till be a little baby sleeping most of the day, not running around the house.
Here is a photo of Alex and I talking to a guest at the party. We had lots of fun...pizza, cake, ice cream, and gifts. What a perfect day!

Here are some shots of me helping her open her gifts. I must say that she got lots of good things. You should have seen all the cute outfits that she scored. She seems to be amazed at the toy in this picture.
After several gifts she got the hang of ripping of the paper. I would start it for her and then she tear a couple of pieces off.

Her favorite part about this gift were the shoes. I had to take them from her to get her to move on to the next thing!!

Ah, the doll house. She absolutely loves this thing. It is still a little big for her, but she likes taking the characters out and putting them back in. If you have any small girls that you need gifts for this Christmas I highly recommend this toy. It has other pieces to go with it...kind of like a village.

Here is one piece of clothing that I had to put on here. She looks so cute in her styling jacket.

After most of the gifts were open Luke comes over to pick out which gifts he wants for himself. As you can see he is trying to make a run for while I have my back turned.

And now for the cake.
Alex was really not sure what was going on at this point. Gifts, cameras in her face, and all these silly people saying "Happy Birthday". She just looked at everyone like they were crazy.
She is going in for her first bite of cake by herself. I thought for a second that this could be ugly, but she really did not make that big of a mess.

However, she felt that her cup needed some special attention so she pushed it into the cake.

I decided to step in and help her out before I took the cake from her. Overall she was not that excited about the cake. She took a few bites, but she did not tear into it like some kids.

Happy Birthday Alex!!
We Love You!

Kade's Thanksgiving Lunch

It was Kade's turn to host a Thanksgiving Lunch at school. Steve and I arrived to find all the kids in there Indian gear. They all picked out a Indian name that was written on the back of their costumes. Kade's name was Fast Indian. I finally figured out why he wanted to be called Fast Indian!!! Here he is at at his assigned table for lunch. We dined with Taylor (left), Emma (top left), Amber (right), and their parents. It was nice getting to meet some of the other parents.

So the teachers wanted to know about Thanksgiving traditions at each house so they asked all the kids to tell how their parents will cook a turkey on Thanksgiving. Let me just say for the record I have never cooked a turkey so I am not sure where he got this.
Kade also had to make a turkey one night for homework. They gave us a template and we had to decorate it with things around the house. We decided to go all wilderness and we used leaves, nuts, sticks, and pines cones for ours. (A couple of leaves fell off the turkey).
I present to you our Turkey!!!

This next shot is for you Katie. The wall of Turkeys. I must say that some parents really got into this. I had to laugh because one was decorated with Halloween candy. Check out the one in the middle...I think they made up there own template. They were all cute.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Alex is walking!

On October 30th Alex let go of me and walked across the living room by herself. I was so excited that I scared her! Since then she has improved everyday and now she is pretty much walking all the time. If you turn on the sound you can hear the monkey sound she makes while she walks. Before long she will be running!

Thanksgiving Lunch

Luke's preshool hosted a Thanksgiving lunch and program today and family of the children were invited to attend. I had to take a cranberry salad and it was yummy. It was Paula Deen's recipe so you know it was good.
The program started with the older children singing a few songs and dancing around in there costumes. They were so cute!
The next group arrived and wowed the crowd as well.
Then it was time for the star of my show and look at him. His teacher said that he did not want to wear the sign or hat and he was mad that she insisted on it. As soon as he saw me in the crowd he ran over and took all of his gear off. He was still cute.

Here is a group shot of his class as they are trying to get everyone in line.

This is the group after Luke ran over to me.
After the program it was time to dig into food!! I love Thanksgiving. Here is Kenny, Andrea, and Jacob having lunch with Luke and I.

Here is me and my turkey enjoying our lunch. It was a very nice program and lunch. He did great even if he did cry.

Kade!! Where is your tooth?!?!

Boy did we have some unexpected drama during dinner on Sunday night. We were at my parents eating and my mom looks at Kade to say something and she screams "Kade, where is your tooth?" We all jump up. I started looking at the food on his plate and nothing there, nothing on the floor, and nothing in his mouth. He swallowed his tooth!! I asked him if he bit into anything hard and his response was "I thought it was the crunchy part of the chicken." We were having chicken tenders. Here is a photo taking after everything had calmed down.

My mom helped him write a note to the tooth fairy since we did not have the tooth.
It reads in case you can not see it
Dear Tooth Fairy:
I lost my tooth today. I do not have my tooth. Please leave me a prize.
Kade

He was afraid of the idea of the tooth fairy coming into his room at night, but he finally went to sleep and here he is with the note on his bed so the tooth fairy could see it.

I also forgot to mention that this is the first tooth that Kade has lost.

Trunk or Treat!

Saturday night we went to a Trunk or Treat at my parents church. We have never been before so this was quite the experience. Kade arrived around 4pm for games, devotional, and a hotdog dinner. Steve and I brought the other two back around 5:30pm for games and the trunk or treating. Here is a shot of everything getting started. There were lots of people dressed up and even more people giving out CANDY!!

Luke was unsure about how the trunk or treat process worked, Kade on the other hand had no problem taking candy. People were walking up and sticking candy in Luke's pumpkin and he had this confused look on his face. He soon figured out what was going on and he was helping himself to the pot. Here you can see he wanted more and was helping himself to another bag of M&M's while Dad was distracting Benny by talking.

Luke was ready to dig in. Already licking his lips!!

Alex cruising the parking lot in her costume. She was laughing at everyone dressed up.

Kade with his second bag of candy. I tell ya the adults were as bad as the kids. The adults brought way to much candy and the kids were going around two and three times to load up. Here he is trying to decide who has the best candy and where he is going to visit again. Buy the way if you need trick or treat candy call me I have two huge bags. :)

Gabby in her Minnie Mouse costume. She looks so cute!!!

Gabby, Scott, and Luke pose for a quick photo.

Disney costumes were everywhere at the trunk or treat. I took a few pictures of some of them. Our host for the evening, Snow white. This is my aunt and she put on all the fall activities for the kids at the church.

Here is Mr and Mrs. Incredible!

This is Austin as a Knight and Ava as a good witch. As you can see they have already dug into their candy too!!!

And I leave you with Miss Priss. I love Alex's smile in this picture. Randon, I know.

Have a great week!!
