School is out for SUMMER!!!!

It is official....summer is here! The last two weeks have been crazy with the boys finishing up the school year. Luke actually got out on the 15th so I will start with his last day. They had a small carnival at the school. Pony rides, bounce house, and many other small centers for the kids to go crazy on. We started at the pony rides and you can see Luke is not happy about riding. He was ok once we got started but as soon as the pony stopped he wanted off. No time to snap a photo, but daddy tried to snap one anyway.

Luke, Kiley, and Olivia enjoying the rice table. Notice most of the rice has already been dumped on the ground. Luke was a little gentlemen and did not push the girls around at the table.

Then we moved over to the playground and this photo was just to cute not to include.

Luke thought that the slide was going to end somewhere else and he had the funniest look on his face when he came down.

Luke was lucky enough this year to have two great teachers. This is Luke with Ms Rita.

Here is my little guy with his favorite teacher. Anyone who knows Luke will probably be surprised when they see him in this photo. He does not warm up to people this easily, but Ms Candy won his heart. I guess this shows how much he has really grown over the last year.

Next, we will head over to Kade's Kindergarten class. I can not believe that I have a child that will be in the first grade in a few weeks. TIME FLIES!!! Kade's last week of school was a whirl wind!! He had field day, honors day, science centers, and a lula on the last day. These photos are from honors day. They presented all the kids with the awards that they earned throughout the year. Kade did great in Kindergarten. Here he is looking at me and Steve waiting on the ceremony to begin.

So they did the awards in order of your last name so he had to wait awhile. Finally it was his turn and he jumped up to see what he had earned. Here is Ms. Trampel presenting Kade with...
1. AR Reading award (he read 21 books this year)
2. Good behavior award which is a free dinner at CiCi's Pizza
3. Cubby Calculations which is completing 30 extra math worksheets outside of the classroom
4. Best story teller (he got the same thing in preschool....what the heck is he talking about at school
5. The Wiz Kid award! Ms. Trampel said that he could do anything they put in front of him with no problem.

He was so excited to get a medal for his Cubby Calculations!

Kade made lots of friends at school, but he made a special bond with Crouix. They have been best buds all year. All we hear about is Crouix.

I knew that Kade had a great teacher this year and apparently everyone else did too. She was awarded with Teacher of the Year! Here is the assistant principal presenting her with her awards. She did a great job and she really deserves it.

Summer is upon us and I am ready for a break.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe summer!

Mother's Day Weekend!

Hello, everyone! I am just getting around to posting my Mother's Day pics. It has been one busy week! I had a great Mother's Day. We really did not do anything that exciting and as you will see by the post it was very random.
Here is Luke presenting me with my card that he made at preschool and a flower. He was so excited to give this to me.
Here is a photo of Alex with all of her Grandma's. We always go to lunch or dinner around Mother's Day to celebrate. We went to O'Charley's this year to celebrate and it was lots of fun. We have made this a tradition that hopefully we will keep doing for years to come. Girls ONLY!!! Alex has her cheese face on!!

Here is my Mother's Day gift.

These next few photos were taken during the weekend.

Luke recently has been crazy for Alex's paci. Here he is telling me how good it tastes!!

Alex and I playing around before bed. Warning...if you are laying in the floor and Alex is around that means your body will become her jungle gym!

Kade found his Lighting Mcqueen gloves and insisted on wearing them all day. My thought.."Is it really worth the argument?" "NO!!"

Here is Luke and Alex fighting over her paci during lunch. She climbed into his chair to get it back. I finally had to step in before someone got hurt.

This was the highlight of my weekend. After having two boys who play with "boy stuff". I have always wanted Alex to be girly. Of course she also wants trucks, trains, and cars. Here she is finally showing some interest in the girly stuff.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Until next time.....

Friday Night Fun!

Some of out closest family/friends invited us over for dinner on Friday night. It is a shame that we do not see them as much as we would like, but with everyone crazy schedules it is hard to spend time together. We had a blast!!! We ordered pizza so we could just chill out and not have to worry about cooking and then cleaning up. After dinner we decided to head out to the lake that is in there backyard. We decided to take the kids fishing. The lake is only a couple of yards from there house so we did not have to walk far.

Daddy and Luke waiting on everyone to get their rears to the lake.

Gabby, Natalie, and Alex

This was Luke's first fishing experience and he was all about it. He almost fell in a few times.

Scott showing Kade how to hook his bait.

I absolutely love this photo of the boys!! It is going to be framed soon.

Group shot!

Steve even caught a fish using Gabby's Disney Princess fishing pole. Notice the pink and purple pole. He was a good sport and let the kids play with the real poles!

Gabby showing me her fishing skills!

Alex, who is not afraid of water by the way, posing for a quick shot. When she first walked down to the water she did not stop. She preceded to try to walk right into the water. Boy, do I dread the pool this year!!!

Me and Alex posing for a quick shot before we headed back inside.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone out there in blooger land! Hope you have a great weekend and I will post my pics next week.

Love ya!
