So Many Birthdays!!

We have been celebrating birthdays since mine on June 26th. July 2nd Gary (Steve's dad), 13th Karen (Gary's girlfriend), and 15th my mom's. On July 14th we were invited to Danielle's party. She is Steve's step-brothers daughter. I believe her birthday is actually the 12th. So we drove down to Conyers on Saturday and it takes about 1 hr 15 min to drive to their place from ours. What a drive!!! So we arrived for the party and here you can see the birthday girl already needing a nap. Her mom said that she snuck into the icing while she was making her cake and you know what happens when you mix sugar and kids.....NO SLEEP!! She did great during the party even though she was sleepy. She looked so cute in her pink cowgirl boots.

After a while the party moved outdoors and here are my boys giving the swingset a try. Luke is in a climbing phase so anything he can climb on he is ready.

Here is Grandpa Phil (Steve's step-dad) smiling with Alex. She would not look at the camera because all the kids were playing around us.

If you did not guess by Danielle in her boots this was a cowboy party. Danielle's mom rented two horses to come out to the party for the kids to ride on. It took a while for most kids to warm up to the idea, but after some convincing Kade decided he was going to ride. Here he is with Grandma (Steve's mom) after making a lap around the yard.

Phil thought that maybe Alex would like to check it out, but right after I took this picture she started crying. Notice the girl on the horse. She jumped right on when they brought them to the yard. She was screaming at her mom to buy her horse. It was so cute.

Here is Steve's step-sister Kathy with the birthday girl.

So Alex decided to drive the Barbie jeep to pick up cute boys and she picks up her own brother!!. Just kidding she is actually to small but it keep her entertained so I could eat lunch.

So after Luke almost knocks Alex out of the Jeep he takes over the drivers seat and another boy at the party decided he would jump in the action.

We'll after so many birthdays I think we have a break until August then it will be Melanie's and Steve's mom, and then following close behind will be Luke's second birthday on September 20th.
Happy Birthday to everyone!!!!

Feed Me!

We'll the title says it all. Alex had been perfectly content with her bottle until she was about 6 1/2 months. I did not push baby food since she seemed happy on the bottle. Mel says that I am holding out because she is my last baby. That may be partly true but now all she want is FOOD!!! Here she is smiling big for the camera with her favorite squash on her cheeks.
Here she is clapping because daddy is feeding her food and not the bottle.
Our close up.

If Alex is half the eater that her big brother Luke is we are in trouble!!

Let Freedom Ring!!

It is the 4th again and we were very busy. We started the holiday on the 3rd at the fireworks. Beth invited us to her company cookout at Delaney. This was our 3rd year attending and we always have so much fun. We spent the evening hanging out with friends, eating good food, watching the kids play, and we ended the night with fireworks. Here is Kade coming down the slide on the "jumpy thing". He spent the entire night in this thing.

Alex enjoyed playing with the beach ball. I even managed to get a bow to stay in her hair. So looks so adorable.
Here big brother Luke jumps in to make sure that he also gets in the picture.

It is getting close to firework time and when Luke heard the 5 minute warning he jumps in daddy's lap for protection. Luke does not like loud noises so this was a treat. He managed to calm down about 10 minutes into the show.

Here is Kade with his sparklers.

Beth, Thanks again for the invite. We had a great time!! Kade was already talking about next time on the way home.

On to the 4th.
We'll we began the day on a sad note. A close family friend of ours passed away so we had a funeral at 2pm on the 4th. After the service we headed to Steve's brothers house for a cookout. Here is Ms. Alex sitting in the kitchen enjoying her toys while we were cooking dinner.
Here are the guys out on the deck grilling the hotdogs and burgers. From left to right: Kenneth, Steve, Nick, and Brad. In case you are wondering.....yes Nick and Brad are twins. They are Steve's younger brothers.

We are back inside and here is Brad and Lindsey (aka almost aunt). Brad and Lindsey are getting married in October. Luke did not want to have his picture made. He was trying to escape on the back deck with the guys.

Here are all three of my angels posing for a picture at my parents house.

Hope everyone had a great 4th!!
May God bless you and your family
