Easter Pics

Ok, I know that I am a week late posting Easter pics, but I was busy last week.
We had our typical Easter weekend. We went to church, then to my moms for lunch and then we had a egg hunt in my parents back yard. This was Alex's first real Easter egg hunt experience since last year she was only 5 months old. She looked so cute in her dress!!!
She would carry her basket and run through the yard.... right past the eggs.

Here is Miss Priss posing for a quick photo. Check out Kade in the background getting all excited about his egg hunting skills.
I think mom said to pick it up and put it in the basket?
Kade and Luke moving as fast as they could.
Action shots!

I tried to get a photo of just the kids and you can see by the picture that we did not get one. After several attempts I gave up.

Family photo Easter 2008

We'll as you can see we had a pretty uneventful Easter.

Have a great week!

Day 4
We'll Saturday was our last day at Disney and we were sad that our trip was over and it was almost time to go home. Saturday was sunny about about 20 degrees cooler that Friday. I think you guys were getting snow here at home and we were sunny and 65. We still managed to get a full day in at one of the parks. Disney's Hollywood studios was our stop. This park is more for older kids. There were still lots of shows and rides, but Luke and Alex really did not understand alot of the things at this park. However, the one thing they were crazy about was the Playhouse Disney show. If you have kids that watch Disney you probably saw the "Behind the Ears" commercial about the show. That is exactly what we went to. The whole point was to throw a surprise party for Minnie. Here are some pics of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang.
Handy Manny and his tools stopped by to help out.
The Little Einsteins also stopped by with Rocket.
Daddy and Alex enjoying the show.

Pooh, Darby, and Tigger also stopped in.

After the show there were a few other Playhouse characters outside so we let the kids get autographs and pics. Here is JoJo and Goliath.

Here is Alex flirting with the Disney camera guy.

This is one of the streets inside the park. That is actually a painted wall in the background but it looks so real.

Here is a photo of me and the boys playing in the Honey I Shrunk I kids set. Alex was napping so she missed out on this.
After coming out of a show we saw Al's Toy Barn from Toy Story and who was there.........BUZZ AND WOODY!!!! If you know Kade then you know how much we have watched Toy Story and how much he loves Buzz and Woody. He was Buzz two years in a row for Halloween. This was one his favorite things of the day. Here we are next to see them and Alex is playing in the shopping cart outside the store.
Here is Kade's moment! They were really great with the kids. Alex ran off before this photo was made.
Daddy and Kade standing outside of the Pizza Planet (restaurant in the movie) where we had lunch.
This was another great moment of the day. Mater and Lightning McQueen!!!! Luke could not wait to get up there. He could not even look at the camera.
We did a few rides and shows throughout the day. Little Mermaid, Star Wars, Muppets, just to name a few. Here we are on a backstage tour of the studio. This is a movie set and they are in the process of showing how they do special effects for movies. Very Cool!

Luke was freaking out at this point of the ride.
This is right outside the park as we were leaving.

Thanks for hanging in there for all 4 days! Hope everyone had a great Easter. I will update with our photos in a few days. Have a great week!

Magic Kingdom Again!

Day 3

We'll everyone it is Day 3 and we only have 1 more day in Disney. Why do vacations have to go by so fast. Friday was another great day. The weather was partly sunny and 82. It got really warm in the afternoon. As you might notice in the first photo there were alot more people there on Friday. It was a good thing that we got so much done on Thursday. We were able to catch a couple of shows that we missed the day before and of course ride some of the kids favorite rides again.

Here is Luke and Alex reading the map. They wanted to make sure that we knew what they wanted to do. Luke was still asking about Daisy Duck.

At last, who do we finally see........DAISY!!! Luke was excited as we were waiting in line to see her. Notice Alex pulling her eyelashes.

Next was Chip and Dale. Kade really wanted to see these guys. They were great. They got right down on the ground to play with Luke and Alex.

As we headed down Main Street we noticed there was a show going on in front of the castle. Here is one of the shots.

Everyone was really tired on Friday. We wanted to see so much while we were there. We did not even go back to the room for naps. The kids managed to nap between events at the park. It just kind of worked out that way. We were out from early morning until several hours after dark. Here you can see Alex using Luke for a pillow.

After everyone perked up and riding some of the kids favorite rides again we headed over to take a spin on the steamboat. Here are my parents with Luke and Alex.

As we walked down the street we ran into Woody and his gang. It was the beginning of the Woody's Round-up Parade.

As we step over to watch the show one of the Disney workers walked over and asked Kade if he would like to be in the parade. Of course he would!!! Here he is waiting on instructions from the cowgirls.

They gave all the kids wooden horses and they got to ride them around the course they set up in the street.

After the kids rode the horses the characters danced to a few songs with the crowd. Here is Kade and Woody doing the Hokey Pokey!

After another busy day at the park we headed off to dinner. We ate at this wacky place called Whispering Canyons. If you ever go to Disney you have to eat there. It was great. This is not your typical restaurant. The waitress came over to the table and the cook was right behind her. They were bickering back and forth. We were not sure what to think about that. The waitress talked a little to us and the started screaming at a couple of other employees. When she was taking our drink order she started throwing straws everywhere. I think we had about 40 on the table. Steve had a Coke for dinner and he asked for a refill. Look at the size of his drink that she brought out. Steve, being the smarty he is said "I am sorry, that is not going to be enough". The waitress said "OK, fine I will bring you something else". Luckily either she was kidding or forgot because Steve did not get anything else. I was afraid to guess what she might bring out next.

Beware if you order ketchup. We asked the waitress for ketchup and she turned around and screamed "KETCHUP" as loud as she could. About 4 kids brought bottles of ketchup over to our table. If you heard someone scream ketchup and you had a bottle on your table a child from the table was supposed to take the bottle to the new table needing ketchup. Here is a photo of Kade delivering his ketchup. It was lots of fun....you never knew what to expect next.

Here is a cute photo of Luke standing in front of the todem pole at the restaurant.

We'll we only have one more day in Disney.

Magic Kingdom

Day 2

We'll it is day 2 and we were ready to get out and see Disney World. We went through the gate at the Magic Kingdom around 8:30 am on Thursday morning. I was another beautiful day. Sunny and warm. We started off by taking a few photos in front of the castle because who goes to Disney and does not have their photo made by the castle?

My parents
Characters
As we walked through the park we saw some of the characters and had to get an autograph. Here was our first character, Pluto!
Mickey and his friends were back in Mickey's Toon fair and we had to walk through Mickey's house and into his barn to see him. Luke loves Mickey Mouse. He could not take his eyes off of him. He stood their staring for a long time.

Minnie Mouse lives next door to Mickey and we also had to walk through her house to meet her. Can you believe more people were in line to see Minnie than Mickey. Alex loved Minnie Mouse. She would grab her nose and squeal. Minnie and Alex had a great time playing together.

Next was Donald and boy was he a hit. As you can see Alex is all over his head. Poor Donald. The kids really loved getting there autographs and photos.

Last, but not least was Goofy. Alex was trying to get him to chase her. As you can tell in the photo she was making a run for it.

Rides
There were so many rides I just posted photos from a few of our favorites. The wait time in the lines were not bad. The longest we had to wait was less then 10 minutes. It was awesome. Most of the rides we walked up and got right on.
Here is my mom and Luke on the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Kade and Daddy on the Buzz ride. As you can tell they were really into this ride. You were able to shot your lasers to help Buzz defeat the Emperor Zurig (sp)? It gave you a score at the end of your ride. Can you tell they mean business?

My dad, mom, and Alex racing cars.

This was Alex's favorite ride. She would squeal so loud on the Dumbo ride. She really liked going up and down.

The Goofy roller coaster was Kade's favorite ride. I think he rode about 20 times, but with no wait times it was worth it. We could get off and walk back around and get right back on. Luke was also tall enough to ride, which I was surprised about but he like it too. Here you can see Kade and I riding and Steve and Luke are behind us.

Alex fell asleep waiting on everyone to ride the roller coaster so we headed over the to the train so she could get some ZZZ's.

We also did the Mickey 3D show. Luke was not sure about wearing his glasses, but he sure looked cute with them on.

Kade and Daddy also looking cute in their glasses.

We noticed when we came out of the show that it had rained just enough to get everything wet, but the rain was over at least for now! It cooled down alittle after the rain so jackets were back on for the Magic Carpet ride.

This photo was taken as we waited in line to ride the Astro launcher. It went really fast and again I was surprised there was no height limit for the ride. I love Alex in her Minnie Mouse dress.

Dinner with Mickey
On Thursday night we got reservations to have dinner with Mickey and some of his pals. It was lots of fun. They just made their way around the restaurant greeting everyone and taking photos.
Here is our turn with Mickey. You can see that Alex is to busy to look at the camera for a photo because she is trying to give Mickey a kiss!!! Poor Luke kept looking at his big feet.

Finally Mickey looked and a kiss was granted by our princess!

Minnie also stopped by.

Donald and my dad pose for a photo.

We'll after dinner we had a little adventure getting back to our room. We were supposed to catch the monorail back to the Magic Kingdom and then catch a bus back to our room. We'll after we got on the monorail we sat there about 30 minutes as they were having technical difficulties. We'll when we finally got moving it was raining really hard. We got soaked as we ran from the monorail station to the bus stop. (I guess that is price you pay using the Disney free transportation. We did not move our car from the moment we came in until we left). It was still a great day and if it meant having that much fun again I would do it.
Out of the blue Luke asked where Daisy was. He actually remembered that we had not seen Daisy yet. You will have to check back to see if Luke finally got to see Daisy.
