Tastefully Simple

We'll ladies I either just did something really good or really stupid. I have signed up to be a Tastefully Simple Consultant. I would like to do something to make a little extra money for trips, extra things for the kids, and GAS!!! ;) I do not want to go back to the office setting. At this job I work when I want. I decided to give it a try after some very hard deliberating. Anyone will tell you that I am a perfectionist and I want everything to go as planned. Please pray that all goes well and I do not have a nervous breakdown!!!!!

New Post! No Pictures!

We'll my friends I do not have any pictures to share with you. We had kind of a busy weekend, but no pics to show for it. Steve has been out of town for two weeks and he is finally home! Kade had a soccer game on Saturday at 10:30 am! After that we headed home for lunch and naps. Steve's step-sister and her husband just bought a new house in the area and invited us over to check the place out Saturday afternoon. It was lots of fun. We got to see everyone who we do not see on a regular basis. Steve also got to play some ping-pong and from what I gathered from everyone he won all the games! We left there to get ready for our next stop. We were supposed to go to some friends house to watch the UFC fights, but while getting ready Kade mentioned that his head hurt. Upon feeling of his head Steve noticed that he was burning up! Fever!!! I called the Doc and she mentioned that she was out so she would stop by our house on her way home and check him out. I love her!! Kade has strep throat. YEAH!!! We have almost made it through the entire school year without getting it. Lucky for me I shared a drink with him on Friday night so the Doc also wrote me a prescription in case I start showing the symptoms. Did I mention that I love her?! Sunday was a very uneventful day. We slept in, skipped church, and were pretty much bums all day! Kade still had a fever last night at bedtime so we keep him out of school today.
Also in other news.....more BABIES!!!! Steve's brother and his wife, Nick and Araceli are expecting their first baby in November! We are so excited for them. Also Steve's stepbrother and his wife are expecting their second and third child. You guessed it...TWINS! We have known for awhile, but I wanted to give the parents to be time to announce the news! Best wishes to all of you baby boomers out there!
We'll that is our weekend in a quick wrap up! I have been reading your blogs, but I have not commented so I am going to try to get to that today!
Have a great week!

Spring Break

We'll my friends another Spring Break has already come and gone. We had a busy week. The kids and I meet Wendi Payne, Nikki Thomas, and all of there children for a eventful day at Catch Air. My mom took the boys to the movies on Tuesday to see Horton Hears a Who, while Alex and I spent some girl time at home. On Wednesday we headed to Jasper to have lunch and visit the Bargain Barn. On Thursday we meet Karen, Andrea, Jacob, and little Avery at the park. It was so crowded, but the kids still had fun! My battery went dead in my camera (of course), but never fail Karen was there with her camera. Thanks for sending me the pics!
Here Kade is having a little static problem as he comes off the slide.

Trying to maneuver the ropes!
Ms. Daredevil. She would just run all over the park. She is very independent and wants to do whatever she wants when she wants. Steve says we are in trouble when she is a teenager!!!
This was Luke's favorite thing..the steering wheel. I guess since it is the closest thing to a actual car or truck that they have. He is 100% boy.
Mommy and two of her angels pose for a quick shot before heading down the slide. Kade had made some friends so he ditched us.
Hope everyone had a great Spring Break!

Is it really Monday?

Alex says "Maybe if I hide my face for a while it will be the weekend again."

No such luck!

I wanna ride!!!!

It is a beautiful spring day so who would not want to go for a ride? The top down, wind blowing through your hair, your leg jammed into the dash, the seat cracking below you. Yes, folks that was my ride on Kade's gator. Alex was dying to get a ride so I squeezed my rear into the small seat and rode her around the yard. She loved it!!!

Here is the photo to prove that yes it was a tight squeeze.

Oh no, we crashed into Luke who was also riding his Jeep. Poor guy, his Jeep goes 2 mph and the Gator goes 5mph. We kept passing him.
Kade on the other hand was to busy eating a snack to care about what we were doing.
Mommy and Alex after the ride.
I must add that no damage was done to the Gator!

Hail Damage

We'll these photos are for my brother who lives in South Carolina and all the people who keep saying why are you getting a new roof.

This is at our back door at the basement where we stayed for 4 hours on March 15th.

Our backyard being washed away! And no. that is not little white Easter eggs hidden in the yard it is HAIL!! ;).
Our deck.

This is the walkway to the front of the house.

BABIES!!!
Ok, so there must be something going on with all the babies on the blog lately so if you are not ready stay off of blogger. Andrea, Chris, MBKimmy, Mariah, just to name a few upcoming arrivals. I would like to say that I am going to be an aunt in October. My brother and his wife are expecting. If you look under my list they are Cory and Michelle. They are kind of blog slackers right now. I am working on them! Also, my cousin Kristy and her husband Stephen are expecting a girl in just a few weeks. They are listed under McPherson Living. Jump over and say hi!!!
Wow, this was very random

Easter Pics

Ok, I know that I am a week late posting Easter pics, but I was busy last week.
We had our typical Easter weekend. We went to church, then to my moms for lunch and then we had a egg hunt in my parents back yard. This was Alex's first real Easter egg hunt experience since last year she was only 5 months old. She looked so cute in her dress!!!
She would carry her basket and run through the yard.... right past the eggs.

Here is Miss Priss posing for a quick photo. Check out Kade in the background getting all excited about his egg hunting skills.
I think mom said to pick it up and put it in the basket?
Kade and Luke moving as fast as they could.
Action shots!

I tried to get a photo of just the kids and you can see by the picture that we did not get one. After several attempts I gave up.

Family photo Easter 2008

We'll as you can see we had a pretty uneventful Easter.

Have a great week!

Day 4
We'll Saturday was our last day at Disney and we were sad that our trip was over and it was almost time to go home. Saturday was sunny about about 20 degrees cooler that Friday. I think you guys were getting snow here at home and we were sunny and 65. We still managed to get a full day in at one of the parks. Disney's Hollywood studios was our stop. This park is more for older kids. There were still lots of shows and rides, but Luke and Alex really did not understand alot of the things at this park. However, the one thing they were crazy about was the Playhouse Disney show. If you have kids that watch Disney you probably saw the "Behind the Ears" commercial about the show. That is exactly what we went to. The whole point was to throw a surprise party for Minnie. Here are some pics of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang.
Handy Manny and his tools stopped by to help out.
The Little Einsteins also stopped by with Rocket.
Daddy and Alex enjoying the show.

Pooh, Darby, and Tigger also stopped in.

After the show there were a few other Playhouse characters outside so we let the kids get autographs and pics. Here is JoJo and Goliath.

Here is Alex flirting with the Disney camera guy.

This is one of the streets inside the park. That is actually a painted wall in the background but it looks so real.

Here is a photo of me and the boys playing in the Honey I Shrunk I kids set. Alex was napping so she missed out on this.
After coming out of a show we saw Al's Toy Barn from Toy Story and who was there.........BUZZ AND WOODY!!!! If you know Kade then you know how much we have watched Toy Story and how much he loves Buzz and Woody. He was Buzz two years in a row for Halloween. This was one his favorite things of the day. Here we are next to see them and Alex is playing in the shopping cart outside the store.
Here is Kade's moment! They were really great with the kids. Alex ran off before this photo was made.
Daddy and Kade standing outside of the Pizza Planet (restaurant in the movie) where we had lunch.
This was another great moment of the day. Mater and Lightning McQueen!!!! Luke could not wait to get up there. He could not even look at the camera.
We did a few rides and shows throughout the day. Little Mermaid, Star Wars, Muppets, just to name a few. Here we are on a backstage tour of the studio. This is a movie set and they are in the process of showing how they do special effects for movies. Very Cool!

Luke was freaking out at this point of the ride.
This is right outside the park as we were leaving.

Thanks for hanging in there for all 4 days! Hope everyone had a great Easter. I will update with our photos in a few days. Have a great week!
