Busy Weekend

Graduation

We had a pretty busy weekend. I began on Friday morning setting up for our team at the Relay for Life event. Later on that evening we headed over to Oak Grove church for Kade's graduation ceremony. Here is a picture of him in his cap and gown. His teachers surprised parents with this picture on Friday. I started crying when I saw it. He is getting so big.

I present to you our graduate!!!
This is the program at the church. The kids were great. They loved singing all their songs in front of everyone. Their were some real performers in the group. The best was the Peppermint Twist. Kade had some pretty funny moves.

Here we are after the ceremony and the kids are presenting the teachers with their gifts. Can you even see them in the crowd.
Relay Time
So after the graduation we headed back over to the fairgrounds for the Relay event. It was a great success. Out team was able to raise over $3500. Here is Kade playing one of the games.

Poor Luke. He did not quite understand the remote control cars so he carried the car and let the remote drag behind him. He looked so cute.

Here are the boys in front of Lighting Mcqueen. Luke was having a fit over the thing. As you can see he has his cheese face on.

And last...Here is a picture of the luminary that we purchased in honor of my dad. He had cancer last year and was able to have surgery without further treatments because he caught it early.

Relay for Life is very close to my heart. If you would like more info on how you can donate money or volunteer in your area click the link below and it will take you to my page.

What a great pic of the Graduate! He is getting to be such a big boy. I can't believe that he will go to kindergarten next year! With him in school and Luke going 2 days you will have 2 days a week with only 1 little baby....wow that is a first in 5 years! You won't know what to do with yourself!

Wow-my dad also had cancer last year and was able to have surgery with no further treatments! Also, my maternal grandmother died of cancer, my paternal grandfather died of cancer, and my father in law died of cancer...I definitely consider relay for life a worthy cause!
