Today is Alexandria's 1st birthday. She was born today at 8:48 pm weighing in at 6lbs 1oz and 18 1/2 in long. Look at how much she has grown over the first year. Here are some photos that I took this morning of her wearing her birthday hat. Check back this weekend. Her party is Saturday and I am hoping that she likes her cake!!!!!!

Kade's Thanksgiving Lunch
It was Kade's turn to host a Thanksgiving Lunch at school. Steve and I arrived to find all the kids in there Indian gear. They all picked out a Indian name that was written on the back of their costumes. Kade's name was Fast Indian. I finally figured out why he wanted to be called Fast Indian!!! Here he is at at his assigned table for lunch. We dined with Taylor (left), Emma (top left), Amber (right), and their parents. It was nice getting to meet some of the other parents.
So the teachers wanted to know about Thanksgiving traditions at each house so they asked all the kids to tell how their parents will cook a turkey on Thanksgiving. Let me just say for the record I have never cooked a turkey so I am not sure where he got this.
Kade also had to make a turkey one night for homework. They gave us a template and we had to decorate it with things around the house. We decided to go all wilderness and we used leaves, nuts, sticks, and pines cones for ours. (A couple of leaves fell off the turkey).
I present to you our Turkey!!!
This next shot is for you Katie. The wall of Turkeys. I must say that some parents really got into this. I had to laugh because one was decorated with Halloween candy. Check out the one in the middle...I think they made up there own template. They were all cute.

Alex is walking!
On October 30th Alex let go of me and walked across the living room by herself. I was so excited that I scared her! Since then she has improved everyday and now she is pretty much walking all the time. If you turn on the sound you can hear the monkey sound she makes while she walks. Before long she will be running!

Thanksgiving Lunch
Luke's preshool hosted a Thanksgiving lunch and program today and family of the children were invited to attend. I had to take a cranberry salad and it was yummy. It was Paula Deen's recipe so you know it was good.
The program started with the older children singing a few songs and dancing around in there costumes. They were so cute!
The next group arrived and wowed the crowd as well.
Then it was time for the star of my show and look at him. His teacher said that he did not want to wear the sign or hat and he was mad that she insisted on it. As soon as he saw me in the crowd he ran over and took all of his gear off. He was still cute.
Here is a group shot of his class as they are trying to get everyone in line.
This is the group after Luke ran over to me.

After the program it was time to dig into food!! I love Thanksgiving. Here is Kenny, Andrea, and Jacob having lunch with Luke and I.
