18 month and 4 month stats

Luke and Alex were due for their check ups and crazy me made their appointments for the same time. The doctor said that Luke has progressed well since his last visit. He now weighs 23 pounds (40% percentile) and is 32 inches long (50th percentile). He has actually lost 2 pounds since January, but the doctor said that was normal.
The doctor was also pleased with Alex. She is up to 12 pounds (25% percentile) and 25 inches (50th percentile). She is eating well, rolling over, holding her head up, and laughing like she should be. She got two shots and boy have we paid for them all week. She ran a fever for almost two days, cranky for two days, and was not eating well (only 10 ozs within a 24 hr period). I called the doctor and she said to take her to Urgent Care if she did not take a bottle within 3 hours and final she ate. She is pretty much back to her old self now. Thank goodness.
I will leave you with a picture of Luke giving Alex a "big hug" or should I say crushing her.

Field Trip!

Last Friday Kade's preschool took a field trip to Central park. They were supposed to do a nature walk, have some playground time, and lunch. Once all the kids were unloaded they all headed toward the playground. Ms. Jamie said "Forget the nature walk it is the end of the year, lets play". Kade keep going up and down the same slide. Here is a photo of him before he ran back around to climb up.
Luke also got to go on the field trip. He also was a big fan of the slide. Luke would slide down and instead of walking back around so the next person could go, he would stand up at the end of the slide and climb back up so he could go again.
We'll the kids were so hungry from all of the playing they were begging for lunch at 10am. We were able to hold them off until 10:45. Here you can see some of Kade's classmates. (His teacher Ms. Melanie is in he pink jacket and Kade is the one sitting by the lady in the gray jacket.)
Here is the rest of the gang. (Ms Jamie is in the black shirt).
Here is Luke enjoying his lunch. He could not keep his eyes off the other kids.

The kids had a blast!!

Our Sleepy Head!!

This short video clip was taken in Myrtle Beach. We were eating dinner at Sticky Fingers and Luke could barely hold his head up after a long day on the beach. It does not show it on the video, but he eventually crashed in dads lap for about 20 minutes.

Question for all my blogging buddies

I recently took a short video click with my digital camera and would like to add it to my blog, however I am having trouble doing that. My question to you is how? I have it saved on my computer under My Videos. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Nap Time

After a crazy day of running errands, I brought the little ones home to get their naps. About 10 minutes after I laid them down I could hear a squealing noise. First, I stopped in Luke's room and this is what I found. He loves to pull his blanket over his head and sleep.
Upon removing the blanket I found one sleeping boy. So off to Alex's room and.....

A little girl with her hands in her mouth, squealing, and no where close to being asleep.

After she saw the camera she started kicking and waving her arms. I guess that means that I am taking to many pictures if she automatically smiles when she sees it.

We'll after a ride in the swing and 15 minutes later she is finally asleep.

Happy Easter

What a glorious day!! We started out by sleeping late and then running through the house like mad people to make it to church on time. The church was absolutely full. Luckily we were able to get our back row spot so if the kids start misbehaving we can make a dart to the door. After church we went to my parents for lunch. This picture is of us in the backyard freezing our rears off to get the traditional Easter picture for the blog and scrapbooks.
Inside we decided to have a little photo shoot with Alex in her beautiful dress. Isn't she a doll!!
She is already the "little ham" for the camera.
Here is a group shot and as you can see the boys were also having to much fun to take
a couple of minutes for a serious picture. What are you going to do?
Since we missed the egg hunt at church we decided to have our own at my parents house. Kade became competitive as soon as the baskets were pulled out. I had to remind him that Luke is only 1.
This was Luke's first egg hunt. It took him a few minutes to figure out what was going on and then he was all into it. When it was time to go back inside we got to see one little fit.

Here they are racing toward the eggs.
Hope all of you in blogging world had a great Easter and were able to spend the day with the ones that you love.
Happy Easter!

The Bunny Cake

Grandmommy (my mom) called today and invited the kids over for a Easter surprise. She was making some desserts for lunch tomorrow and guess what....she had a bunny cake for the kids. She was a little unsure about the decoration so the kids got to take over. Here you can see Luke and Kade hard at work. Of course, for Luke it was one for the cake and one for me.

The kids with their Easter masterpiece.

The Bunny Cake!!

Happy Easter!!!

Poor Princess

I decided to get the exersaucer (sp?) out for Alex and as you can see she was not really able to try it out. The boys were swarming around waiting on me to get it set up and when it was ready they attacked it like they had never seen it before. Poor baby never had a chance.

Spring Break at Myrtle Beach!

We arrived in Myrtle Beach on Thursday, March 29th. When we arrived it was raining and about 50 degrees. Friday the sky opened up and the warmer weather returned for a beautiful weekend. This is a picture of the beach from our room. Can't you just hear the waves crashing!!
Ms. Alex was all excited about being at the beach. Here she is sitting at the indoor pool watching the boys play.
Kade loved playing in the little waterpark. The water was to cold for the rest of us. Luckily all the other pools were heated even the outdoor pool.

Luke loved the lazy river. He would ride in the float either alone or with someone as many times as he could get you to go around.

On Saturday night we went to Broadway at the Beach. It is a place with shops, putt-putt golf, restaurants, and lots of other fun stuff for kids to do. Here we are breaking for a picture by the lake.
Cory and Michelle

My mom and dad.

Here we are riding the go karts. Kade is in the yellow and Luke and I are in the red and blue. Do not be fooled by the innocent look of the ride. When you went around the corner it would double its speed throwing you around in the kart. Luke's poor head kept slamming into the back of the seat. I could barely hold onto him. He thought that it was great.

Kade enjoying his lunch on the beach.

Luke was so tired he literally dropped and went to sleep. Here he is laying on a blanket with his towel pulled up to block the sun.

Alex enjoying the sun and surf.

This picture is one of my favorites. I love the smile on the boys faces playing together at the edge of the water.

Our bathing beauty!!

Here is the whole bunch posing for a quick picture our last day on the beach.

If you are still reading after all the pictures.....Sorry. There were so many pictures that I wanted to post, but I had to limit myself to just a few.
Hope everyone had a great spring break!!!!
