Christmas Programs
It would not be Christmas without plays and pageants. Luke and Alex had a program at preschool. It was so cute. Everyone was dressed in their Christmas clothing and ready to sing Christmas carols. Each class had to march in and take their assigned places on the stage. Here is Alex ringing her bells as she marches in.
If you remember from the Thanksgiving post Luke did not want to sing. For Christmas, he changed his mind and was into it. Here he is marching in with his class.
Can you find Luke in this photo?? He never saw us, but he was looking so hard.
And here is Miss Thing working so hard to ring her bells.
The classroom party that followed.
Luke and his best bud Reed enjoying their treats in the classroom. He looks like he has on black lipstick, but it is just the icing off of his snowman!
Our church also had a play. Luke and Alex were not in it, but Kade took center stage with a solo this year. He was a ancient prophet who told of Jesus' coming.Thursday, February 11, 2010
Santa Again!
Once again we took the kids to the mall to see Santa Clause. I thought this year would be so easy since they had already seen Santa at school and did not cry. Boy, was I wrong. Alex started as soon as we were walking up to the guy. Oh well maybe next year!
Fort Schimweg
What kid does not like to build a fort. Kade and Luke are always begging to get sheets and blankets out to make one. Alex just waits until all the work is done and then she climbs in first. Here is Fort Schimweg.

I tried to sneak in to she what was going on but Alex caught me and got right in the camera.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Luke and Alex's preschool had a huge program for Thanksgiving. All the kids dressed up as certain things that represent Thanksgiving. Luke's class was Indians and Alex's class was turkeys. Here is a shot of all the kids performing. They did great!

Here is our little performer. She was all about singing and doing the hand motions to the songs. I can see her being on American Idol or some sort of dance show in a few years.
Not sure why she is giving this kid this mean look.

Luke on the other hand was so shy he would not stand up in front of everyone to sing. He has always been so tender hearted. He does not like people looking at him. I was able to get this photo of him at the feast in costume after the program. He is enjoying lunch with his class.

Daddy, Valerie, and Luke. Valerie is saying "Give me some food!"
Here is Alex and her best friend CeCe enjoying a nice conversation at lunch. I am sure they were talking about their performances. :)

Once we arrived home I wanted to get a few shots of there costumes. Luke again wanted no part of it. He was to tired. As you can see Alex was more that willing to ham it up for the camera.

Alex and Valerie being silly.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday!
I can not even believe that it is true......Alex is 3!!! She it turning into such a little girl instead of a toddler. Guess it is true "Time flies, when you are having fun!"
After many changes in the acutal party that we would have, she finally settled on Little Mermaid. Steve said she is acting like a woman already.
The guests lined up for their piece of cake.
The birthday girl posing by the cake!
Here I am helping her open gifts. She got some really cute stuff. After having two boys, getting to play with girl stuff is so much fun!
Luke also thought that the party was for him. He kept running over when he saw something that he liked trying to claim it. Trust me, with Alex he did not stand a chance.
Happy 3rd Birthday to our baby girl.
We love you!

Disney November 20-25th 2009
Steve and I took the kids to Disney again this fall and it was so much fun and exhausting!! We visited all 4 parks and even had lunch inside Cinderella's Castle and meet the Princess's. We rode all the rides.....some 4 and 5 times. I think the favorite ride of the entire trip was the Buzz Lightyear ride at Magic Kingdom. The kids also liked Peter Pan, It's a Small World, The Barn Buster rollercoaster, Grand Prix, Toy Story Mania, and many many more. It was not crowded until Tuesday and then people were everywhere. Ride wait times were 2hrs on some rides. YIKES!! That was ok, since we arrived late the week before we hit all the main attraction first before the crowds arrived. It was so much fun that if I had the chance to pack up and leave right now I would do it without even thinking about it!! I am already counting down until we leave for our next trip!!!
